Collegiate Education for Child Care Personnel

Organization: Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College
Community college instructors will offer a variety of early childhood education courses to childcare providers, directors, and students interested in pursuing a career in early childhood education/care. Course offerings will be reviewed with Smart Start in an effort to align course offerings with students needs. In addition to offering courses during traditional hours, courses will be offered on evenings, Saturdays, and in the summer. Designated instructors will spend a portion of their time advising students enrolled in early childhood education courses to assist them with identifying their course/credit needs as they work towards attaining their degrees and/or reaching their educational goals. In addition, the program administrator will work with the school's student advising center to ensure that they have specific information regarding the Early Childhood Education Department course requirements.
